SunSpectrum critical illness insurance features
-

Temporary insurance: When you pay the first month’s premium with your application, you may have immediate critical illness coverage (up to a maximum of $500,000).
(Temporary insurance coverage is 90 days.)

Return of premium benefit: Allows you to get back 100% of the eligible premiums you paid into the policy if you have never made a claim for a full payout covered illness. Two kinds of return of premium benefits are available: return of premium on cancellation or expiry and return of premium on death. (The maximum amount payable is the premium paid or the coverage amount, whichever is less).

Disability waiver benefit: Premiums will be waived if you become disabled and are unable to earn an income for six months or more.
Coverage for acquired brain injury and loss of independent existence: When included in your plan, you’ll receive a full payout of your critical illness insurance benefit if you’re diagnosed with and survive an acquired brain injury or loss of independent existence. When a benefit for acquired brain injury or loss of independent existence is paid, the policy ends.
Long term care conversion option: This gives you the right to convert critical illness insurance to a long term care insurance policy we make available with no evidence of insurability.
