How does it work and what policy options do I have?
If you are diagnosed with an illness that is covered by your policy, and you meet the requirements of your contract, you will receive a one-time lump sum payment. This lump sum payment will be available to be used at your discretion.
Qualifications for a Policy Benefit
In order to qualify for your policy benefit, you are required to
receive an objective diagnosis of your illness by an appropriate
medical specialist--someone licensed to practice in Canada and who
specializes in your particular illness. After your claim is paid your
policy ends; you are eligible to make a claim only once.
Choosing a critical illness plan
The type of critical insurance plan you select is contingent on a multitude of factors: income, financial obligations, number of dependants, savings, and health-care expectations and needs. In order to respond to the needs and requirements of individual clients, different critical illness insurance plans are available:
Permanent Insurance and Term Insurance Plans are available to help protect your financial well-being during times of need.
